Audi RS e-tron GT HMI Details
Launched with level 4 autonomous driving abilities – (the key difference between Level 3 and Level 4 automation is that Level 4 vehicles can intervene if things go wrong or there is a system failure. In this sense, these cars do not require human interaction in most circumstances.)
Similar to any top-end Audi the interior is home to 3 digital displays. It has the latest 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit sitting behind the steering wheel angled towards the driver with optional heads up display. The UI stays true to Audis existing design language with minor changes to incorporate the electric range.
The additional screens seamlessly blend into the central console the first is a wide 10.1 inch central infotainment screen that has high-definition graphics responds to familiar gestures such as pinch and swipe – and the ‘home’ buttons running down the side make it easy to navigate primary functions such as the sat-nav and stereo. The home screen, meanwhile, it is made up of large tiles that are easy to target while you’re driving with the inclusion of haptic feedback to reassure the driver while on the move.
