Peugeot e-Legend HMI Details
The digital cockpit includes 16 screens, the major screen being 49 inches, along with a steering wheel that retracts during autonomous driving. It includes four driving modes:
Two Self Driving Modes:
- Soft - A blend of digital surfaces and information reduced to the bare minimum
- Sharp - Maximum connection to your digital activity (social networks, diary, etc.) dynamic typing in the car is also possible.
Two Manual Modes:
- Legend - ‘Cruising’ mode that recalls the three dials of the 504 Coupé and digitally treated would displayed on the different screens.
- Boost - Dynamic and stimulating driving thanks to the powerful electric engine. Immersion with the road projected on a single big screen.
In self-driving mode, the interior configuration adapts thanks to drive-by-wire technology. The steering wheel folds away under the sound-bar to totally free up the 49-inch screen, the front seats tilt, the side armrests fold out automatically, opening up a large storage space and an induction charging zone for smartphones, whilst the main controls remain accessible via the centre console built into the driver’s seat.
Occupants can play on the built-in video game console or watch a film either on the curved central screen or on the screen in each sunshade.
The e-Legend offers a voice-controlled personal assistant adapted to autonomous driving. By saying just one phrase, the driver can change driving mode, listen to their favourite playlist and even open or close the car's electrical doors.
